I am big on grids at the moment. I am seeing them everywhere...

 

quilt

Sophie, my 11 yr old stepdaughter & I are making a quilt for 'Blossom' (the unborn). Each of the squares of material have been tacked around a piece of cardboard 6x6cms. These are then stitched together by hand. We have tacked about a fifth of the squares but have a long way to go.

On Sunday I have invited girlfriends over to help. This arvo tea is instead of a traditional 'baby shower' which are a bit of a mystery to me. I thought it apt to do this incredibly domestic activity whilst discussing the journey I am about to make.

nesting

At 38 weeks pregnant I am in serious nesting mode. 'Lisa from nextdoor' gave me this stencil as a contribution to the baby's room. It has a pair which is equally as kitch. I love 'em!. My brother, Stephen has painted the cupboards in the room yellow (similar shade to the little duckie). I'm slowly getting the room to look like I want it to. Got the cot, pram, etc. Now all I need is the baby...

Sorry about this, but I'm testing how the text will look so I'm writing anything and everything I can think of. Today was good. Lunch was particularly good. Fresh bread, gotta love it!
